Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Berger Ghalibaf said that Iran’s defense cooperation with other countries is continuously expanding.
At the beginning of today’s parliamentary session, Qalibaf commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of the brave and indefatigable freedom fighter Mirza Kucak Khan Dzhangari and all anti-colonial fighters of the Jungle Movement. He said that Mirza Kuchak Khan’s movement is completely Islamic and Iranian, as stated by the leader of the Islamic Revolution. He did not put the interests of foreign powers above those of Iran, and he did not align himself with foreign policies, whether Soviet or British. He fully defended his independence and dedicated his noble life to the fight against colonial powers.
Ghalibaf also referred to the large-scale “Sahand 2025” counter-terrorism exercise organized by the Revolutionary Guards Ground Forces with the participation of Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states, and said that Iran’s defense cooperation and joint counter-terrorism efforts with other countries are steadily improving, and the operational results will be evident in eliminating the mischief of Iran’s enemies and destroying terrorist groups.
The Chairman emphasized that holding this military exercise sends an important message to hegemonic powers and demonstrates that independent states have a strong will to protect themselves from unfair global power relations.
