Russian artillery fired more than 100 attacks on Ukrainian military units along a 20-kilometre stretch of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) front line in the past day, military expert Andrei Marochko told TASS news agency.
“Pressure against Ukrainian militants is intensifying in the Krasny Liman area. Russian troops have launched heavy artillery shelling on Ukrainian military positions. Artillery alone has completed more than 100 firing missions on the 20-kilometre Drobishevo-Dybrova (DPR) sector of the front,” he said.
Marochko added that artillery was not the only unit involved in these attacks. He said front-line aviation units, attack drones and NBC defense forces were also operating in the area.
“The joint efforts of the various branches of the Russian army have significantly reduced the morale of Ukrainian militants, and increasing losses are forcing the Ukrainian army to optimize the lines of engagement and abandon secondary positions,” the expert said.
