In his sermon at Friday prayers in Tehran, Khatami stressed that if the enemy ventures again against Iran, it will be defeated again.
Turning to the collapse of the Zionist regime’s defense system during the 12-day war imposed by Israel against Iran, Friday prayer leaders emphasized that it is an undeniable fact that the criminal enemy has been defeated and that if they make any mistakes, they will be defeated again by the powerful Iranian military and the noble nation of Islam.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Khatami pointed to the noble words of Seyyed Ali Khamenei, leader of the Islamic Revolution, and pointed out that while our enemies are trying to pretend that the Iranian government sent messages to the US government through other intermediaries, they should know that we are not sending messages or negotiating with the US government.
Iran will never negotiate with the US government in the current situation, a senior cleric warned.
He added that in the current situation, accepting negotiations or holding talks with the United States that break its promises would mean succumbing to pressure, but the Iranian people have proven over the past four decades that they will never succumb to such pressure.
