The second phase of the Revolutionary Guards Navy exercise was underway on Friday, with numerous long-range ballistic and cruise missiles being launched.
Alongside General Pakpour, Rear Admiral Alireza Tansiri, commander of the Revolutionary Guards Navy, also emphasized that the Revolutionary Guards Navy’s ballistic and cruise missiles were tested on the basis of passive defense.
The Revolutionary Guards Navy launched the “Eghtedal” military exercise in the Persian Gulf on Thursday, highlighting what officials described as complete intelligence and situational awareness across the entire ocean area.
The exercise is dedicated to the memory of martyr Haj Mohammad Nazeri and demonstrates the Revolutionary Guards Navy’s readiness, resilience and commitment to confronting any potential threats.
Revolutionary Guards officials said the exercise highlights the Iranian Navy’s courage and defense readiness and reflects continued efforts to strengthen its deterrence and operational capabilities in the Persian Gulf.
