A meeting of the APA Standing Committee on Political Affairs and the Palestine Committee was held in Mashhad, Iran, on Thursday, with the participation of 15 parliamentary groups from Asia.
The meeting considered and approved eight draft resolutions covering themes such as effective governance, legal standards, strengthening the judiciary, optimal parliamentary methodology, inter-parliamentary cooperation in Asia, democracy-guided development, and strengthening multilateral approaches.
According to Press TV, one of the approved resolutions proposed by Iran criticized the US and Israeli military aggression against Iran.
This initiative received strong support from participating organizations.
On June 13, Israel launched an unprovoked war against Iran, killing numerous military officials, nuclear experts, and civilians.
Over the next week, the United States attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities, entering the war in grave violation of the United Nations Charter, global regulations, and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
In retaliation, Iranian forces attacked key locations in the occupied territory, as well as Qatar’s al-Udeid Air Base, the largest US military installation in West Asia.
Separately, the Palestine Committee unanimously approved a detailed resolution, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people.
