Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Purdastan made this remark in an interview, pointing out the crucial and unprecedented role of Islamic revolutionary leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in changing the enemy’s calculations after Operation True Promise 3.
Turning to the 12-day war that Israel has imposed on Iran, he said: “While Iran was indirectly negotiating with the US government, the Israeli regime, under the guidance and direct support of the US, carried out brutal and despicable attacks against Iranian soil in a short period of time.”
President Purdastan emphasized the outstanding and important role played by Islamic Revolution leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei in guiding the Iranian military during Israel’s 12-day war against Iran.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed to the enemy’s strategic surprise attack in the implementation of Operation True Promise 3 and stressed that the Iranian military regularly monitors threats and is building the necessary defensive and offensive capabilities to counter them.
Brigadier General Purdastan stressed that the precise and widespread implementation of Operation True Promise 3 had dealt such a devastating blow to the Zionist regime that it seemed unlikely that it would have the courage to confront and engage the powerful Iranian military again.
