Addressing students from the IRGC’s DAFOS (Army Command and Staff College of the Islamic Republic of Iran) on the occasion of National Student Day, Mousavi called on the country’s armed forces to prepare for pre-emptive action against any external threat.
Benefiting from the world’s most modern and cutting-edge technologies, the country’s revolutionary youth were able to make great strides and achievements in various branches of the military, he stressed.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Maj. Gen. Mousavi referred to developments in the field of mixed and cognitive warfare and said that preparing for new wars is a strategic necessity.
He also called on students to study and practice new defense scenarios to help the military take pre-emptive action against any threat.
He said that the transfer of technological know-how and experience is one of the other important strategic factors, adding that the fruitful experience gained during the eight years of Sacred Defense (the war imposed by Iraq on Iran from 1980 to 1988), especially the 12-day war imposed by Israel, must be passed on to the new generation.
