Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uzbekistan Mohammad Ali Eskandari met with the Central Asian country’s Minister of Health Ashirbek Khudayarov and discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the health field.
At the meeting, which was held with the aim of expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of health and treatment, both sides emphasized their determination to expand relations in this field.
Mr. Eskandari explained Iran’s medical capabilities and considered medicine and medical equipment to be important areas of cooperation between the two countries.
Foreign Minister Ashirbek Khudayarov emphasized Iran’s high position in the world in the medical field and expressed his pleasure at the development of medical relations with Iran, especially in the field of treatment.
He went on to highlight the health system reforms undertaken under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan and expressed Uzbekistan’s interest in having Iran meet some of Uzbekistan’s medical needs.
The meeting emphasized cooperation in the field of medicine, medical equipment, exchange of experiences, and communication between universities and hospitals between the two countries, in order to identify existing capabilities and potential.
