TEHRAN – The 18th Resistance International Film Festival will feature carefully selected films from multiple countries around the world, announced Esrafil Khalidi, chairman of the festival’s international committee.
Mr. Carisi emphasized the importance of international screenings in conveying the festival’s message. “These events will help foster unity among freedom-loving countries supporting the resistance front,” he said on Sunday.
He also emphasized the important role of international artists in the festival’s mission, saying, “Artists articulate the important value of resistance and support the oppressed, especially the Palestinian people and marginalized groups around the world. They play an important role in defending the people of the world.”
“Through our International Commission, we will use the medium of art to convey important messages of resistance to oppression and crime, harnessing the talents of open-minded artists from around the world, while striving for lasting peace. “We aim to do that,” he said.
Earlier this month, Kharisi said: “Right now, our greatest concern is with the Palestinian people, who are embodying the concept of resistance and becoming a display of rights against tyranny.”
“The 18th festival must focus on the theme of intellectual resistance, reflecting a lifestyle that confronts oppression and seeks sustainable peace,” he added.
He said that this year alone, the festival has received requests for cooperation from around 30 countries, and around 18 themed sections for each country have been created for the event.
He asserted that the film and art industries can change the concept of resistance from war to peace, and expressed hope for the day when the world would be freed from the burden of Zionist lobbyism.
He therefore concluded that the Resistance Film Festival serves as a platform for all those who are passionate about resistance activities.
The Revolutionary and Sacred Defense Film Society and the Lebayat Foundation organize the Resistance International Film Festival every year.
The 18th International Resistance Film Festival is an important platform for the promotion and dissemination of film works that embody the spirit of resistance against injustice, oppression and inequality.
This year’s festival aims to respect the principles of resistance and promote freedom of thought and expression, and promises to be an unforgettable experience.
