The accident occurred when a tanker carrying petrol crashed and another tanker was brought in to remove the PMS being transported, witnesses told THISDAY.
However, according to eyewitness accounts, when a young man and several women rushed to the scene to pump gasoline from the capsized tanker, there was a sudden explosion, which resulted in a forest fire, and the gasoline pumping vessel and two One vehicle was reportedly set on fire.
No firefighters were immediately available to extinguish the fire.
When contacted, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission in Niger State, Kumar Tukwan, confirmed the tragic incident.
