One of the floating cities of the Revolutionary Guards Navy was unveiled on Saturday in the presence of Rear Admiral Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Guards, and General Alireza Tansiri, Commander of the Revolutionary Guards Navy.
At the unveiling ceremony, the Supreme Commander of the Revolutionary Guards said: “The complex we visited today with the esteemed Commander of the Revolutionary Guards Navy is one of many complexes that contain systems of the Revolutionary Guards” naval attack ships, missile ships and minelayers. ”
Rear Admiral Salami said: “The complex that our dear Iranian people are witnessing today is a magnificent and distinguished complex in itself, but it is only a fraction of the total defense power of the Revolutionary Guards Navy. ” he added.
He stressed that the number of advanced equipment and systems of the Revolutionary Guards Navy will continue to grow.
“Today, the Revolutionary Guards Navy is able to build a multi-layered defense,” General Salami stressed.
The underground base houses speedboats and sea mines, as seen in footage aired on state television on Saturday.
Combat boats stored in underground naval bases are seen equipped with cruise missiles.
The base also houses combat vessels specialized in targeting U.S. warships.
