Gaza’s Ministry of Health said 60 people had been killed in the past 24 hours and 62 more bodies had been recovered.
Earlier, Gaza’s emergency rescue agency said it was currently searching for an estimated 10,000 buried bodies among the vast rubble of collapsed buildings, Al Jazeera reported.
97 bodies recovered in Rafah city: medical personnel
Earlier, it was reported that 47 bodies were found in the city of Rafah in southern Gaza and taken to the European Gaza Hospital.
Medical sources have now told Al Jazeera that 97 Palestinian bodies have been recovered from various areas of the destroyed city since the ceasefire took effect on Sunday.
The Palestinian Civil Defense Agency said the search for an estimated 10,000 bodies buried under rubble since Israel began its war in Gaza continues on the second day of the ceasefire.
