New footage released by the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas resistance movement, shows the moment resistance fighters kill two Israeli military officials who were behind the assassination of former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. .
The following video released by Qassam shows Sinwar being martyred in Rafah, south of Gaza.
The video, dubbed the “Death Ambush Series,” is reportedly the first of such footage the group plans to release, according to Press TV. The second video will be released later by Mehr.
A section of the video dated January 6 shows the moment a bomb planted in the northern city of Beit Hanoun killed a senior Israeli military commander, his deputy and several Israeli occupation soldiers.
The group said its targets were Major Dvil Zion Reba and his deputy Eitan Yisrael Shiknaji, who were responsible for Sinwar’s assassination.
The footage dates from the days before the ceasefire in Gaza came into effect on January 19.
The brigade said Rabeh led at least one of the regime’s massacres in Beit Hanoun.
Both the assassination and the massacre occurred during the regime’s 15-month genocidal war on the Palestinian territories since it began in October 2023, in which at least 47,000 Palestinians (mostly (women and children) lost their lives.
Earlier this month, Tel Aviv finally approved a cease-fire agreement, bowing to the continued success of Palestinian and regional resistance.
Several other Israeli troops were injured in the attack in Beit Hanun, according to the video.
Hamas also mentioned similar operations against Israeli infantry units that advanced through the al-Zaytoun area of Beit Hanun and caused casualties.
“The enemy confirmed the death of the deputy commander of the (Israeli army’s) Nahal brigade and four soldiers, and nine others were seriously injured.”
Hamas and its fellow domestic and regional resistance movements have vowed to step up operations if the regime resumes brutal military attacks.
