Commander of the Tehran -Iran Iran’s Islamic Revolution Corps (IRGC) emphasized the need for ethical considerations in its use and emphasized the increase in the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in military applications.
At an international conference on artificial intelligence and future civilization held in Tehran on Wednesday, Major General Hosein Salami emphasized the possibility of AI to strengthen Iranian military abilities in the Navy operation.
“You may have to engage in fighting in the sea. In the future, you may be more dependent on AI about such operations,” said Tarami.
He explained that the enemy’s ship would often disable the GPS system and hide the position when traveling across a vast distance. However, AI -led technology helps Iran to detect and track these ships more effectively.
“It is important to identify the target position, but the more important is to know exactly where to strike,” he says, with advanced AI image matching technology, Iran is a specific ship. I added that it can be identified and tracked.
Beyond the military application, salami emphasized the importance of AI in various fields, including transportation, disaster response, medical, education, cyber security, and national security.
During the meeting, salami announced the “comprehensive artificial intelligence map” of IRGC, a strategic initiative aimed at integrating AI into multiple sector.
The first event in Iran was attended by high -level IRGC staff, including General Mohamad Lesa Nakydinator, a deputy coordinator of IRGC, and General Hassan Hassani Ahangal, President of Imam Hussein University.
