Tehran -Iran has been planning a launch of two satellites by the end of the year, according to the 25 satellites currently under construction and the head of the Iran Space Organization (ISA).
Hassan Salary, the chief of ISA, has revealed these developments in an interview with Iranian media. He has noticed that Iran has designed and constructed about 25 satellites over various classifications so far.
The early satellite he acknowledged acknowledged that the resolution and accuracy of imaging had a limit. However, the advances in technology have greatly improved, and Iran’s recent satellites are much more abilities.
“We are currently developing satellites with an imaging accuracy of about 2 meters, and we are continuously working to further strengthen this accuracy,” says Salarieh.
He also emphasized the increase in the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in satellite operation. The Iranous Space Organization implements AI -based techniques for processing and analyzing satellite images more efficiently. These progress enhances satellite data accuracy and ease of use, and supports experts to bring more valuable insights from the cosmic observation.
“With this progress, AI’s assistants can work with experts and significantly improve the effectiveness and efficiency of satellite imaging,” he explained. He also noted that companies in the private sector also use satellite images of various services, and that universities and research institutions are actively expanding their work in this field.
The main satellites of National Space Technology Day have been announced
“Iran is preparing to introduce the latest satellite progress on February 2, which indicates the day of the national cosmic technology.” Salarieh is Paya, Zafar-2, Pars 1 & 2. It has announced that some new satellites, including, will be officially announced as part of the celebration.
In addition, Iran is preparing for two satellite launch by the end of the year. In addition to 25 satellites currently being developed, Salarieh has confirmed that eight satellites have been fully built and ready to release.
Chabahar SpacePort: Iran’s important facilities for launching satellites
Salarieh has explained that Chabahar Spaceport is an important facility that functions as a major launch site in Iran and functions as a potential hub to launch satellites on behalf of other countries.
Located along the Makran Coast, Spaceport offers a strategic advantage by accessing the open sea area and is the best site for the launch of satellites.
“The preparation for the space port is proceeding as planned,” the salary says. “We are committed to completing the facilities by the end of this year.”
Chabahar SpacePort is being developed at multiple stages. According to Salarieh, the first phase is expected to work completely by the mid -2025, but the phase design process is already ongoing.
One of the most important aspects of this project is to provide launch services to other countries. Iran is positioned as a growing global space industry player. “With this spaceport, Iran will be able to provide an international client a satellite launch service,” Salary emphasized.
