Amina Baroc, Deputy Minister of Pakistan, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbass Araguchi in Tehran on Monday. The conference was held as a bystander of the ECO (Economic Cooperation Agency) of the Deputy Minister of Economy.
Araguchi emphasized Iran’s dedication to expanding the relationship with neighboring countries, especially Pakistan, and emphasized the importance of continuous diplomatic involvement. He repeated a strategic approach by President Masoud Pezeshkian to promote deeper regional cooperation.
Both sides discussed shared opportunities and issues focusing on concerns such as border security, drug trafficking, and illegal immigration. Baroque has reconfirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthen cooperation with Iran, especially when dealing with mutual concerns.
The discussion also discussed important geopolitical development, including the situation of Gaza, Afghanistan, Syria and Lebanon.
