“I will probably meet Zelensky next week. I will probably talk to President Vladimir Putin,” the US leader said before talks with the White House Prime Minister Isgar. Ta. “He (Zelensky) may see him next week (with me). No matter what he is, I’ll be here.”
Tas appears to be biased towards the US president holding consultations on the lawn of his home, saying, “It could be Washington,” and saying, “Well, I’m (in Ukraine) there. I’m not going to go.”
Trump did not elaborate when he and Putin might talk.
He reiterated that the Ukraine crisis would never have happened if he were president when it began.
Previously, Trump said hopefully the peace deal would conclude “at some point in the not-so-distant future.”
On June 14, 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin outlined the conditions for a Ukrainian settlement in a meeting with the leader of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These conditions include the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbas and Novorosya, as well as Kiev’s pledge not to join NATO. The rights, freedoms and interests of Russian-speaking citizens must also be fully protected in Ukraine. Russia believes it needs to lift all Western sanctions on it and establish Ukraine’s non-alignment and nuclear-free status.
The opinion that the Ukrainian Reconciliation Conference should take place between Russia and the US, and without Kiev’s nominal participation and Europe, began to circulate in Western media.
