At a gathering of people from Buchere province, southern Iran, the Iranian president questioned the true intentions of US President Donald Trump.
“We’re not saying we won’t negotiate, but Trump imposes all sorts of sanctions on us and can’t talk about negotiations. Why he blocks food, water and medicines from us. Is that so?” said President Pezeschkian.
“They aren’t after negotiations,” he added. But we are not obedient. ”
The president said Iranians can solve the problem by relying on themselves and having a roadmap.
“The enemy cannot block our paths. We will find a path,” he said.
On Wednesday, President Pezeshkian said the situation in Iran should not be linked to foreign decisions. He said Iranian youth must be skilled, successful and find a will to solve Iran’s problems.
On February 5th, Trump signed a memorandum of understanding from the president to resume “maximum pressure” in the Islamic Republic. Even before signing the memo, the US President had held consultations and spoke about the keen things that would lead to dealings with Iran. In his first term, he separated the United States from multilateral dealings with the United States.
President Pezeschkian says Trump’s actions contradict his words. And Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, leader of the Islamic Revolution, said negotiations with Trump’s government were wise and dishonorable.
