TEHRAN – After a visit to Bucher as part of the National Unified Government agenda, Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian traveled to Tabriz without notice on Thursday night for a short, informal stay.
Pezeshkian originally planned to spend only a few hours at his personal residence in Tabriz, but his visit also included discussions about the school’s construction initiative.
While in the city, the president met Karim Maldani Azar, a well-known philanthropist and school benefactor at his residence. The two discussed continued efforts to expand the country’s education infrastructure.
Mardani-Azar, along with his late brother, plays an important role in Iran’s education development, funding the construction of more than 440 schools with 550 classrooms in various regions. Their philanthropic contributions have expanded beyond education as they are involved in the construction of hospitals and medical centers across the country.
