Tehran – Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s first regional trip suggests that the US has driered Palestinian authorities (PAs).
After meeting with Israeli officials, American diplomats held daily meetings with Palestinian authorities during their visit to the Middle East (West Asia).
But Rubio broke this tradition. He discussed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (Al-Kud) on Sunday before travelling to Saudi Arabia.
Rubio’s move means he overlooks Palestinian authority despite the many benefits and extensive cooperation offered to Israel.
The PA will serve as a governing body that has managed certain occupied West Bank areas since the mid-1990s.
It was established in 1993 as a result of the Oslo Agreement signed by Palestinians and Israeli leaders. The PA had to recognize Israel and eliminate Palestinian armed groups in exchange for the Palestinian state.
However, Israel used the deal as a smokescreen to expand illegal settlements on the West Bank. The administration remains opposed to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Palestinian authority is still digging its heels and insisting on compliance with the Oslo Accord.
Many Palestinians believe that the stance of the Palestinian authorities amounts to complicity with Israel to maintain its occupation.
Palestinian authorities have played an important role in supporting Israel in maintaining strict surveillance of the Palestinian masses. The PA is considered an Israeli pawn. That US-trained unit has been accused of organizing an attack on Palestinians targeting Israeli soldiers. These PA elements also detain union leaders, journalists and social media critics.
PA’s accomplice in Israel’s actions came into the spotlight after Hamas launched a surprising military attack in southern Israel in October 2023.
The PA forces cracked down on protesters who took them to streets on the West Bank to condemn Israel’s war of massacre over Gaza, which claimed the lives of nearly 62,000 Palestinians. Israel signed a peace agreement with Hamas in January after failing to achieve its target in the war with Gaza.
President Mahmoud Abbas, also known as Abu Mazen, is putting pressure on his position on Al Aksa Storm.
“Hamas’ policies and actions do not represent Palestinians, and the policies, programs and decisions of the Palestinian Liberation Organization represent the Palestinians as the sole legitimate representative,” Abbas said in mid-October 2023. said in.
Since the end of last year, the PA has been helping Israel crack down on Jenin, which remains a hotbed of Palestinian resistance.
The Palestinians consider the Western-backed Ramallah organization irreparably corrupted and teethless bodies in the face of inaction against Israeli crime in Gaza and the West Bank.
Rubio’s refusal to meet PA officials clearly indicates that the organization is Deadwood.
The United States and Israel used Palestinian authority as their stogue to fulfill their purposes.
Rubio’s move highlights the fact that only resistance, national unity and resilience contribute to ending Israel’s decades of occupation and heinous crime.
