Organized under the theme of “Stable Security Under the Shadow of Independence, Unity and Power,” the exercise will test an array of military capabilities.
The drill sends a clear message that Iran can secure the area without foreign intervention.
Amid the evolving warfare where cyber operations, electronic warfare and unmanned systems are game-changers, Iran is integrating advanced technology with traditional military power. This comprehensive exercise is part of an annual series that not only improves tactical adjustments, but also reaffirms the national strategic autonomy in unstable regions.
Admiral Habibora Sayali, commander of the joint drill, said the main goal was to increase defensiveness and deterrence. He warned that any enemy attempting to hurt Iran’s interests would face serious consequences. He also emphasized the importance of modernizing tactics and transferring expertise from the veteran army to younger personnel, and adopted innovative techniques to maintain a critical advantage.
Participants could include infantry, armored and mechanized units, air defense systems, naval assets, and Air Force strategic bombers for logistic support.
The drill begins tomorrow, covering a vast area including the Macran coast of the Omani Sea and arriving north in the Indian Ocean up to 10° latitude.
A new generation of weapons, smart apartments, electronic warfare, cyber operations, drones, and other emerging technologies will be tested.
The massive movement serves as a warning to the enemy, highlighting Iran’s preparation for robust defence.
