Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, commander of the IRGC Navy, announced the addition of a new vessel with defense, rescue and firefighting capabilities, developed in collaboration with knowledge-based companies and supported by Iranian military general staff.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony held in Bandar Abbas on Thursday, Admiral Tangusiri highlighted the newly built fire control vessel, maritime ambulance and the Shahid (martist) Delvali vessel of the class of Shahid Qassem Soleimani.
According to him, the firefighters are designed to operate in 3-4 ocean conditions and play an important role in rescue missions. Designed by a knowledge-based company, the marine ambulance reaches a speed of 50 knots at a speed of 13.5 meters long and has a range of 300 nautical miles for emergency operations.
Regarding the Shahid Delvari ship, Admiral Tangsiri explained that it belongs to the Shahid Qassem Soleimani class and is strengthened to carry helicopters and missiles over a range of 750 km (developed by the IRGC Navy) and 300 km.
With a speed of 32 knots and an operating range of 5,000 nautical miles, the vessel is designed for resilience in challenging maritime conditions.
The IRGC Navy Commander expressed his gratitude to the military’s general staff and logistics support department, knowledge-based companies and the defense industry, emphasizing that these achievements are the result of relentless efforts by domestic experts and the unwavering support of the Iranian state.
