Tehran will be holding an exhibition of his paintings, sculptures and printed materials on Friday at Tehran’s B Gallery, along with the announcement of Aydin Aghdashloo’s first international monograph, published by Italian publishing company Skira.

The book offers a comprehensive review of Aghdashloo’s ongoing artwork over 60 years. The 304-page monograph edited by Marco Menguzzo and Takin Aghdashloo is published in English and includes essays by David Anfam, Michel Dewilde, Marco Meneguzzo and Zahra Faridani.
It also features a collection of 12 previous essays on Agdashru, written by well-known figures such as Abbas Kiarostami, Darish Sheigan, and Balam Beisai.
The unveiling ceremony will feature Aydin Aghdashloo and include a book signing event. Additionally, short films about artists directed by Tara Aghdashloo will be screened.
In addition to this announcement event, an exhibition of Aghdashloo’s works from various eras will be held at the B Gallery, with 17 of them on display. Curated by Takin Aghdashloo, the exhibition features seven paintings and seven printed artworks from various stages of Aghdashloo’s career.
However, the highlight of the exhibition is the exhibition of three sculptures by famous artists, which will be presented to the public for the first time.
The sculpture featured in the exhibition is three bronze works entitled “Snow, Apocalypse and Identity.” In this collection, the artist recreates the familiar motifs of his paintings into three-dimensional shapes. These sculptures are designed through a collaboration between Art Mart and the Aghdashloo Foundation and are produced in a limited edition of 20 copies.
Aydin Aghdashloo has held few solo exhibitions throughout his career. His final exhibition took place in 2014, and now, 10 years later, his work will be released again.
Iranian painter, graphicist, author and film critic Aydin Agdaschloo (84), is known for his portraits depicting classic Italian and Persian images.
The exhibition will open on February 28th and will be held until April 10th at B Gallery in East Tobacco Riare, Ajau Danieh.
