Tehran – Eshaq al-e Habib, the advisor and envoy of Iran’s Foreign Minister, met with Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gedion Timothewos during his official visit to Addis Ababa.
The discussion that took place on Thursday focused on a variety of issues, including expanding economic, political and cultural cooperation, and strengthening collaboration in regional and international forums.
Both authorities highlighted the deep-rooted historical relations between Iran and Ethiopia and recognized the need to build on existing partnerships. They explored opportunities for increased trade and investment, scientific technology exchanges, and stronger diplomatic coordination on the global platform.
Al-e Habib has reiterated his commitment to deepen Iran’s ties with Ethiopia and expressed his hope that the ongoing dialogue will pave the way for greater cooperation in various sectors. Meanwhile, Timotewos welcomed interest in strengthening Iran’s bilateral relations and highlighted the openness to promote stronger diplomatic and economic ties in Ethiopia.
