President Pezeskian made these remarks during a parliamentary session, discussing the lawmakers’ calls for each of the economies of the Minister of Economic and Finance Abdulnaseta Hemati. He urged legislators to focus on economic challenges rather than pointing their fingers at each other.
Emphasizing the need for coordination and unity between the three branches of the government, he noted that the enemy aims to sow discord in order to build distance between the government, the people and the parliament.
While acknowledging the existing imbalances and issues in Iran, the president emphasized that authorities should strive to maintain public trust and prevent disillusionment.
According to Pezeschkian, his administration began amidst foreign pressure and internal challenges, including shortages of water, electricity and gas, debt owed to retirees, farmers and healthcare workers. He emphasized that the authorities have a responsibility to instill hopes and beliefs about possible improvements.
Pezeshkian argued that change and progress cannot occur without solidarity and unity, urging officials to cooperate with big decisions.
He invited all officials with practical strategies to present a proposal for discussion, stating that the current debt and market conditions were clear. He emphasized that the solution lies in programming and collaboration to tackle these challenges.
Pezeschkian affirmed his commitment to stand firm to help the Islamic Republic overcome current difficulties, and emphasized that coordination, empathy and collaboration are required to achieve this goal.
He repeated the Supreme Leader’s emphasis on the importance of production and economic prosperity, saying that economic development would not be possible without improvement in production. He described economic transformation as an ongoing process that requires accurate programming and decisions.
The president also referred to Ayatollah Seiyed Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution.
