TEHRAN – In an interview with French media, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragci said his country would not be involved in direct negotiations with the United States as long as President Donald Trump continues his so-called maximum pressure policy.
“As long as we continue our maximum pressure policy and threat, we will not negotiate directly with the US, but this does not mean we will not negotiate with other parties regarding the nuclear program. We are in discussions with Russia and China.
Regarding the US and Israeli military threat to Iran, the Foreign Minister said that if such a threat were to materialize, the conflict would spread throughout the region. “We believe that if an attack is made on Iran, this attack could turn into a widespread fire in the region. It’s not that, it’s Israel’s desire to engage other countries in the region in the war, the desire for Israel to draw America into war.
