TEHRAN – For the past three days, Iran’s Red Crescent Association (IRCS) has provided rescue services to 357 people.
From March 5th to 7th, 320 IRCS teams conducted 257 operations. A total of 357 people received pre-hospital emergency care, of which 105 were moved to medical centres, IRNA cited IRCS official Mohammad Kobadi.
Since December 6, 2024, IRCS has launched its Winter Relief Program. The program is scheduled to continue until March 10th.
A total of 4,500 relief teams are participating in a program to ensure road safety by providing life-saving aid and reducing traffic accidents.
IRCS is the top organization
In September 2024, Faisal Mahboob, project manager for International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Associations (IFRC), praised the capabilities of Iran’s Red Crescent Association (IRCS) as unresolved.
Officials said they were truly impressed with the capabilities and wide range of activities that IRCS has implemented.
IRCS is recognized as one of five prominent societies around the world thanks to its wide range of activities and its activities, both national and international, and great achievements.
“The League of Nations will support the activities of Iran’s Red Crescent Association and launch a new phase of cooperation with society,” Mahboob added.
In May 2023, IRCS Head Pir-Hossein Kolivand said the IRCS is recognized as one of five prominent societies worldwide, both in its broad range of activities and both nationally and internationally.
Referring to health, treatment and rehabilitation as part of the IRCS activity, Kolivand said IRCS hospitals, pharmacies and clinics meet the medical and treatment needs of thousands of citizens every day.
International IRCS medical centers have a good reputation all over the world. As a humanitarian organisation, the IRC is trying to alleviate the suffering of those involved in accidents, emergencies and conflicts.
“Today, collaboration with knowledge-based companies will bring advances in the production of orthotics, prosthetics, prosthetics and new drugs, and there are also plans to expand cooperation in rescue and relief efforts,” officials said.
According to a report released by IFRC on the most important outcomes of the Iranian Red Crescent Association from January to December 2023, the IRC continues to tackle the impacts of climate change, program adaptability and the preparation efforts sparked by the climate crisis.
In 2023, Iran’s Red Crescent developed community-level adaptation plans through the Volunteer Iniiiti and Heral House (a community-owned red crescent house) to tackle climate change by mobilizing health caravans, implementing an early warning system for heat waves, droughts and flash floods.
