The ancient Silk Road has existed for thousands of years, passing through many different empires, kingdoms, rule and society throughout history. At certain times in its long history, traders were free to travel along these routes, but travel was difficult or dangerous for others.
According to UNESCO, the Silk Road enriched the countries it passed through, transporting it to culture, religion, language and of course to society in Europe, Asia and Africa, combining them all with a common thread of cultural heritage and multiple identities.
Today, there are over 40 countries along historic lands and the Maritime Silk Road, and we witness the impact of these routes on all cultures, traditions and customs.
But these vast networks were more than just mere products and valuable products. The constant movement and mixing of groups also led to the transmission of knowledge, ideas, cultures and beliefs that had a major impact on the history and civilization of the Eurasian people. Travelers along the Silk Road were fascinated not only by trade but also by the intellectual and cultural exchanges that took place in cities along the Silk Road. Many of them have evolved into hubs of culture and learning. Therefore, science, art, literature, crafts and techniques were shared and spread across society along the length of these routes, and in this way language, religion and culture developed and influenced each other.
