In a meeting with the commander of Iran’s naval forces on Saturday, he emphasized the importance of the naval forces, noting that the country’s naval forces should be transformed into the nation’s pioneering forces.
Iran’s authority in the seas means authority in the region and the world, he said, adding that the country must rely on its domestic capabilities and strengthen its authority by using wide range of maritime capabilities.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Brigadier General Nasirzadeh pointed out the importance of the ocean in the development of the country’s national and economic power, calling on government officials to make the right use of God-given blessings.
Brigadier Nasirzadeh said, “Unfortunately, the development of Iranian coasts and ports has always been accompanied by delays and lack of planning, and while other countries are rapidly utilizing their strategic maritime positions, they are not making good use of Vast as they are not making good use of the strategic Maritime and the Metropolitan Area, and while Brigadier Nasirzadeh has criticized the criticism of the carelessness and negligence of the country’s southern coast, particularly Chabahar coast.”
He pointed to Iran’s unique geographical location, coastline length and access to the high seas, highlighting the need for the development of a comprehensive maritime strategy within the country.
Referring to the importance of the navy as a strategic and effective unit, Iran’s defense minister said the Iranian naval force must become the main force of the country.
