In a previous Twitter post on Sunday, X, Carlson said that Iran’s constant portrayal as a “terrorist sponsor” was an attempt to manipulate public opinion in support of military action against the Islamic Republic, reports.
“From the wall to wall, Fox News says Iran is a “dangerous sponsor of fear.” “We will soften the bases for war,” Carlson wrote.
American political commentators, close to US President Donald Trump, continued to compare the risks posed by Iran compared to other factors that threaten the people of the United States.
“How many Americans have been killed by Iran in American soil over the past 20 years?”
He urges them to study this number and compare it to the number of Americans killed due to other causes, including drug overdose, suicide, illegal aliens, carjacking, diabetes and even the Covid-19 vaccine.
He called on the US media and American politicians to focus on addressing domestic issues before considering military interventions abroad.
“Do you still think Iran is the biggest threat? Why don’t we focus on our country for a moment?” he concluded.
Speaking to Fox News last week, Trump said he hopes to win a nuclear deal with Tehran.
“One other option is to have to do something because you can’t let go of another nuclear weapon,” he said.
Islamic revolution leader Ayatollah Seiyed Ali Khamenei said on Saturday that some bullying force claims that are carrying out consultations with Iran are not aiming to resolve the issue.
“Some bullying government claims about negotiations are not intended to resolve the issue, but to assert and impose their own expectations,” the leader said.
“The Islamic Republic will never accept their expectations,” added Ayatollah Khamenei.
