In response to Trump’s comments suggesting that the US is not worried about accusing the United States of America of being stronger than all of these countries regarding joint naval exercises involving Iran, China and Russia, Grand Admiral Irani said on Monday that Trump’s remarks stem from “illusion.”
He said that the participation of three countries in the military exercise entitled “Security Belt 2025” focused on securing security, in contrast to the existence of countries like the United States, which consistently contributed to global instability.
Vice Admiral Irani emphasized the increased number of maritime actors on the global stage, and the ability of Shanghai Cooperation Agency and BRICS member countries to play a positive role in the maritime economy.
Furthermore, he noted that other regional countries have also made progress in maritime activities through their efforts and will take part in these exercises in the future.
The seventh Maritime Security Belt 2025 exercise is scheduled to take place in the North Indian Ocean and will be held with naval forces from Iran, Russia and China, as well as observers from various regional countries. The exercise is designed to enhance security, promote sustainable maritime interactions, and enhance naval cooperation between the three participating countries.
