According to a reporter for the Mehr press, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said at a gathering of political and social activists in Iran on Wednesday evening that Iran would not agree to nuclear deals at any price, highlighting the country’s rights to uranium enrichment and scientific research.
“No one can tell us to stop enriching and research,” he declared. He said Iran will not accept the agreement under forced or pressure.
Pezeschkian emphasized the importance of elite participation and the importance of public involvement in solving the country’s challenges, noting that internal unity and correct policymaking are key to success.
The president mentioned Iran’s undeveloped resources (water, soil, tourism, natural beauty, etc.) as evidence of the country’s vast potential, highlighting the mismanagement of management as a collective failure.
He emphasized that Iran has negotiated with the US and Europe based on leadership guidelines, and that although Iran has resolved many regional issues, it has repeatedly said it will not tolerate foreign pressure. “We have now solved many of our neighbor issues. We negotiate with the US and Europe according to the policies our leaders have set, but we do not submit to power.”
“We made it clear that we are not pursuing nuclear weapons, but no one will allow us to be bullied,” he said.
