TEHRAN – US war planes are exploiting violent airstrikes on Yemen following unprecedented attacks on Haifa’s Israeli targets.
Ansarallah’s media centre has reported a series of US airstrikes targeting several Yemeni provinces, including Hodeidah and Sanaa. The wave of American fighter jets has launched strikes in multiple regions, according to the statement.
The airstrikes struck the districts northwest and west of Hodeida city, expanding into the Bani Heeshaish district of Sanaa province and the region surrounding Yemen’s capital.
Additional raids raided Camaran Island in the Red Sea. These attacks followed previous strikes in Malibu, two in Amran province, about 50 kilometres north of Sanaa, and in the Yemeni capital itself.
The US military escalated after the Yemeni army launched a bold and unprecedented operation, launching a high-sound ballistic missile with a “strategic target” for the first time in Haifa.
According to Yahya Saree, a spokesman for the Yemeni Army, the missile struck the mark without Israeli air defense intercept.
The impact is said to have caused widespread panic, sending over 2 million settlers into bomb shelters. The second operation using an armed drone was “hitting an important site” in Tel Aviv.
Israeli forces have admitted attempts to intercept missiles fired from Yemen after sirens were triggered that were attacked across northern Israeli settlements on the northern Israeli border.
The Hebrew media reported that settlers had heard up to 20 explosions.
Ansalala leader Syed Abdul Malik al-Haucci praised Haifa’s attack and called him “surprising the enemy.” He said Yemen’s military capabilities remain strong despite the relentless American artillery fire.
“Over 1,200 US airstrikes have failed to weaken Yemen or halt its operations,” he declared.
Al Houcci continued to describe Yemen’s position as principled and exemplary in his support for the Palestinians.
“Yemen’s attitude is a model. Has the world collapsed? Has Yemen been erased from the map just because they took a bold attitude that relied on God?” he asked, urging them to follow the other Muslim countries.
Despite the intensifying US attacks, the SANAA-based government escalated operations against both the US and Israeli regimes in response to the war on Gaza.
Yemen’s health ministry reported Wednesday that US airstrikes that have been ongoing since mid-March have killed at least 107 civilians and injured 223 others.
In Washington, concerns are rising about civilian casualties. Three Senate Democrats have urged Defense Secretary Pete Hegses to discuss the recent wave of civilian casualties caused by a US strike targeting Ansalara, according to the Washington Post.
Lawmakers called on President Donald Trump’s administration to reevaluate its military strategy and address the rise in humanitarian costs.
