Tehran – Republic of Uzbekistan’s Minister of Culture Yusufjong Usmanov called Iran his country’s valuable cultural partner and said that the exchange of religious and cultural tourists not only strengthens relations between Iran and Uzbekistan, but also becomes a successful model for regional cooperation.
On the sidelines at Chandi Summit 2025 at the Bali Beach Convention in Indonesia, he said that by promoting cultural and tourism cooperation, it will enhance the reciprocal relationship between Iran and Uzbekistan. He added that it could also be an effective model of regional collaboration.
“I hope Iran will thrive more every day and shine as one of the best countries in the world.”
Expressing his joy in participating in the event, he emphasized the need to develop cultural and tourism cooperation between Iran and Uzbekistan.
Referring to the commonality of both countries’ civilizations and cultures, he stated that Iran and Uzbekistan boast a rich history and many cultural commonality.
The presence of diverse tourists and religious sites in both countries is a valuable possibility that can attract millions of tourists due to cultural and spiritual experiences, he added.
He added, saying that conferences such as “Chandi” provide new opportunities for regional cooperation: “These gatherings are strategic platforms for exchanging experiences, introducing common capabilities and developing religious and cultural tourism. Without a doubt, such cooperation will further strengthen relations between the two countries.”
The international summit “Chandi 2025” is being held at the initiative of the Indonesian Ministry of Culture, and is attended by world leaders, ministers, policymakers, and cultural and creative industry activists.
The event is designed to enhance cultural dialogue, develop multilateral cooperation, and promote innovative approaches in the fields of culture and the arts, reinforces the fundamental importance of culture as a pillar of peace, social resilience and sustainable development in the modern world.
