In the Rostov region, security guards from an industrial facility were killed in one of the buildings on the site after a drone attack and a fire, said Rostov Governor Ely Slusar. “The military repelled a massive air attack in the middle of the night,” he said, destroying drones in seven districts that Slyusar posted on Telegram.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces said they had hit Russia’s Riazan oil refinery on Saturday and sparked a fire on its territory.
In a Telegram statement, the unmanned systems force also said it had collided with the Annanefteprodukt oil storage facility in the Voronezh area. The statement did not specify how the facility was attacked, but Ukrainian troops specialize in drone warfare, including long-range strikes.
According to Al Jazeera, the Ukrainian SBU intelligence agency said the drone had hit a Russian Primorsko Aktalk airfield.
The SBU said it was supplying electronics to Russia’s military industrial complex, and it also hit Penza’s factory.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said in a daily report that its defense units defeated a total of 338 Ukrainian drones overnight.
