The Chinese Communist Party (CPC) is leading Chinese women to exercise legitimate democratic rights, participate in social and economic development, and share the fruits of reform and development.

The white paper stated that emphasising gender equality as a fundamental national policy is an innovative practice of China’s socialist system and an important decision to advance the balanced development of this cause and women.
Development cannot be achieved without women, and its fruits should be shared with everyone, the white paper added that in this spirit, China has integrated progress in gender equality into a broader development process.
In support of a people-centered development philosophy, China respected women’s institutions and strengthened its relevant institutional protection, policy support and public services supply for its development, the white paper said.
Together with all other countries, China is committed to shaping a global environment that encourages women’s development, protecting international equity and justice, and making a legitimate contribution to driving the world into a bright future of peace, security, prosperity and progress.
