The protest expressed anger over the continued closure of the intersection of the Rafa border and denial of humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip amid escalating policies of hunger and genocide in the implementation of Israeli occupation authorities.
Activists were seen in chanting slogans with Palestinian flags denounced the role of Egyptian authorities in tightening the lockdown imposed on more than 2 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Their slogans show that the red paint represents the blood of the victim, trapped behind the gates of a closed cross.
The move came on the 658th day of the attack in Gaza, with thousands of tons of humanitarian and medical aid piling up at the intersection, and amid the ongoing blockade, there was no immediate prospects at the full and permanent opening of the Rafa crossing.
Participants at the event called for the retaining of accountants involved in the lockdown, stressing that staying silent about Gaza’s “slow death” policy constitutes an accomplice to war crimes.
