Tehran – Iran’s top military headquarters emphasizes continuing to mobilize all national capabilities under the leadership of the Islamic Revolution.
Major General Ali Abdollahi, commander of the central headquarters of Khatam Al-Anbiya, issued a message during the sacred week of Defense (the anniversary of the beginning of the Iranian-Iraq war), known as the “eternal school and endless asset” for the Iranian state.
“The sacred defense reminds us that we were subjugated to the spirit of faith and resistance to God, sacrifice and selflessness in Imam Khomeini’s leadership, to stand up to the full infringement of our enemies, and against the enduring epic of dignity, independence, and the honor of the history of this land.
He emphasized that discourses of resistance, rooted in religious, national and revolutionary values, are based on opposition to arrogance, dependence on domestic strength, mistrust in hegemonic power, and dependence on God’s authority. He noted that even the recent 12-day war with Israel had weakened Iran’s resolve and ultimately aimed at strengthening national unity and strengthening the central role of those defending the country.
The new aggression is filled with the reaction of grinding: IRGC
In a statement released on Sunday, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) warned that “in the event of a new miscalculation or attack by the enemy, the Islamic Republic of Iran will command commanders on the battlefield, bringing another deadly response.”
The IRGC noted that the commemoration of the eight-year Iraq-imposed war this year would come just weeks after the illegal Israeli US attack on the country, a 12-day war that killed more than 1,000 Iranians, including senior commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians. The attack caused the United States to bomb three Iranian nuclear sites in violation of international law.
Iranian forces were retaliated for striking strategic locations at occupied Palestinian territory and Aldeid Air Force Base in Qatar, the largest US military base in West Asia. The IRGC said the Iranian retaliation operation, which took place on June 24, effectively ended a wave of aggression, revealing that Tel Aviv and Washington failed to meet their targets.
“The defeat of the enemy in the security, political, economic, psychological and media battles aimed at destabilizing Iran has proven that their failure to destabilize Iran, through vigilance, insight and unity, has stood like a steel fortress against the hybrid war, and has thwarted their statement,” the statement said.
The IRGC emphasized that experiences of both sacred defense of the 1980s and the recent 12-day wars demonstrated that “effective deterrence” was a product of constant preparation, innovation in strategy and tactics, and steady advances in defense techniques and systems. The elite forces, alongside other branches of the military, pledged to strengthen their offensive and defensive capabilities as part of a broader deterrent strategy.
