The 14 countries provided confirmation in a joint statement following a meeting on Wednesday, less than a week after the IPC issued a Grimm account on the ground situation in and around Gaza City.
According to a Press TV report, the declaration, later verified by the United Nations itself, occurred in October 2023 amid the Genocide War in Gaza.
The war killed about 62,900 Palestinians through direct military attacks or the use of starvation as a weapon of war. In the latter method, Tel Aviv almost completely prohibits entry to all important groceries into the territory.
The administration is enforcing the so-called distribution mechanism in the small aid that passes through. As part of the mechanism, the hungry Gazans are forced to flock to the “distribution points” where Israeli forces are intentionally firing at them.
The nation has approved an IPC statement calling hunger mitigation a “artificial crisis.”
“We are expressing deep concern about the existence of hunger in Gaza,” they said in a statement, referring to the areas that make up the city and its suburbs.
“The hunger in Gaza must be stopped soon and respect international law,” they added.
“The use of hunger as a weapon of war is prohibited under international law.”
Meanwhile, they denounced the administration’s simultaneous decision to further expand the military strike in Gaza, demanding a “immediate, unconditional, permanent ceasefire.”
This development came amid many reports that Israeli officials deliberately employ stagnant tactics on more than dozens of occasions to derail the outlook for a ceasefire contract.
Commenting on its refusal to coincide with the rest of the U.S. council members, observers reminded that Snubs reflect Washington’s uncertain way of casting full military and political support behind Tel Aviv’s deadly local atrocities.
