Qatar’s Al Jazeera reported that around 900 Palestinians have been killed and around 2,000 injured since Israel resumed hostilities in the Gaza Strip, citing the Health Ministry for the Palestinian enclave.
The Israeli attack killed 896 people and injured 1,984 people in the Gaza Strip, the TV channel said. Gaza authorities also pointed out that the number of deaths in the latest escalation of the conflict has been updated to over 61,700 since October 2023, saying thousands of Palestinians are counted as dead under the roof rub.
In January, the Israeli regime was forced to agree to a ceasefire agreement with Hamas given the regime’s failure to achieve its objectives, such as “exclusion” of Palestinian resistance and the release of prisoners of war.
The 42-day phase of the ceasefire, which was damaged by repeated Israeli violations, expired on March 1, but Israel is refraining from stepping into the second phase of the agreement’s meeting.
