London – Once again, Washington returns to the old game. While denounces terrorism on others, it promotes it to fuel and serves its benefits. The statement made by Secretary of State Marco Rubio at a recent meeting with Al Kud with Benjamin Netanyahu is merely a continuation of American policies aimed at covering the main role in destabilizing West Asia by supporting terrorist groups and using them as tools for political projects.
Admissions in the US: From al-Qaeda to ISIS
US support for terrorism is not merely accusations by its rivals, but a reality confirmed by a significant figure within the American administration itself. In a famous 2016 statement, President Donald Trump openly declared, “Obama is the founder of ISIS and Clinton is his co-founder.” This was not a slip of the tongue, but a fact supported by evidence.
At the start of the Syrian crisis, Washington provided financial and logistical support to terrorist groups through the CIA under the guise of supporting so-called “moderate opposition.” A report by the Washington Post repeatedly reveals this strategy.
Secretary of State John Kelly confirmed in leaked records that the US intentionally allowed ISIS to expand in Syria in hopes of squeezing Damascus on political concessions. In 2019, MP and current National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard revealed that the US government was directly armed and funding al-Qaeda in Syria, saying “our government directly supported al-Qaeda in the Syrian war.”
Just a few days ago, former Senator Richard Black dropped another bomb about direct US support for groups such as Syrian al-Qaeda and ISIS, making one of the boldest statements ever about the hidden aspects of Syrian conflict.
•Black highlighted the role of terrorist groups as tools in the Syrian war. This has been debated for a long time by politicians and analysts.
•His statement is consistent with reports revealing direct US support for several armed factions who committed atrocities in Syria by raising funds from regional allies or by turning a blind eye to financial sources.
• His recognition that these groups “performed all American missions” reinforces the argument that Washington used them as proxy forces to the former Syrian regime and its allies.
Historical evidence supporting the claim
Senator Black’s claims are not new, but they serve as further evidence from insiders within the American system. Over the past decade, US support for groups such as Jabat al-Nusra (the branch of Syria’s al-Qaeda) has been pointed out over the past decade, through Turkey and Qatar channels as part of its strategy to overthrow the Assad government.
•This support included funding and weapons despite these groups’ well-known relationships with terrorism.
•The Western Intelligence report confirmed that some American weapons have been in the hands of ISIS and Jabhat Al-Nusra after being leaked through so-called “moderate opposition.”
So, Black’s statement is not surprising, but it serves as an internal confirmation from former US officials, making it difficult to ignore and expose the Syrian American agenda.
Al-Julani: From wanted terrorists to Syria’s US-backed rulers
When Rubio talks about “Syrian instability,” he conveniently ignores the fact that Washington directly supports one of the world’s most dangerous terrorists.
Once on the American terrorist list, Aljurani is the de facto ruler of Syria after the collapse of former President Bashar al-Assad. He enjoys direct and indirect American support. No longer commander of extremist groups, he is the face of a broader US project to reconstruct Syrian political landscape in favor of Western interests.
American media, like PBS, have conducted promotional interviews with him, offering false images of “moderate opposition leaders” especially against Alawis, Christians and the Druze community, despite a long record of massacres and human rights abuses in Iraq and Syria. Meanwhile, a report by RAND Corporation revealed that Washington views him as a “potential partner” for future cooperation, exposing US blatant double standards for dealing with terrorism.
Now President Ahmad Alshara, Aljurani, is in charge of the horrific massacres along Syrian coastal regions, where more than 22,000 Alawi people were killed. But he has never been held responsible. Instead, he enjoys indirect US support, which leads to political and media promotion, and intentionally overlooking his crimes. Yesterday he was a wanted terrorist. Today, he is Syrian president under American sponsorship. The goal is clear. It will disrupt the country and prevent the stability that could potentially bring sovereign decisions back to Damascus, freeing it from Western control.
Unconditional support for Zionist groups: justification for terrorism
Rubio’s statement cannot be separated from the US’s unwavering support for Zionist groups that practice state terrorism every day. Since the launch of the recent attacks on Gaza, occupying forces have killed tens of thousands of civilians, including children and women, and destroyed hospitals and schools.
• Was it not occupation that created the Southern Lebanese army, a proxy militia that committed massacres against Lebanese civilians?
• Isn’t it the Zionists who support Syrian terrorist groups, provide treatment to injured Jabhat Al-Nusra Fighters, and continue to launch relentless attacks on Syria?
America’s support for Zionist groups goes beyond arms and funding. That extends to political protections for the UN Security Council, which uses Washington’s veto to block solutions that denounce Zionist war crimes. This makes the United States a direct accomplice to the organized terrorist attacks committed by the occupation.
Double standard: “good” vs. “bad” terrorism
Why do Washington resist Zionist occupation or protect the land as “terrorists” not apply the same standards to the groups it supports in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan?
The harsh contradictions in American stance reveal that the classification of terrorism is nothing more than a political tool that serves our interests. As long as the group aligns with American goals, it is labelled “medium opposition.” But if it resists hegemony or Zionist occupation on us, it suddenly becomes “terrorists.”
Iran and Resistance: A Failed Attempt to Demonize a Real Enemy
To accuse Iran of supporting all so-called “terrorist groups” is nothing more than a story of a repetitive bankrupt American. Yes, Iran supports resistance from Palestine and Lebanon, but does it support crimes to those occupied? Is protecting one’s land and dignity an act of terrorism?
The United States wants to impose twisted equations. Those who fight the profession are “terrorists,” while those who support occupation are “advocates of democracy.” But this story is no longer deceived by anyone. The American ties to the highly terrorists it claims to fight are exposed, especially since the crime of Zionist existence is broadcast live to make it visible for the world.
America: The True Godfather of Terrorism
If Rubio is looking for “the greatest source of instability,” he should start in Washington. It is clear that the US is not part of the solution between supporting al-Qaeda and ISIS, protecting Aljurani and covering up terrorism in the Zionist state. That’s the root of the problem.
History will not allow those who claim to create terrorism and then fight it, and people will not forget who was standing in their cause and conspiring against them.
