Tehran – The Amir Kabir Memorial Hall at Tara e Armas (Armas Mansion) at Golestan Palace has resumed with the publication of several Kajal-era educational documents, including academic records of Kajal King Ahmad Shah and a group of students from Dar Wolfnun’s Madrasa.
According to Irib, Afrin Emami, director of the World Heritage Site at Golestan Palace, said the educational document will record the name and achievements of Crown Prince Ahmad Shah, and record the 15 students of Dar UL-Funun School, a list of academic subjects, names of professors for each subject, and details of the students.
She added that the historical record, considered to be one of the unique documents related to the education system of the Kajal era, is on display in the courtyard of the historic school, along with photographs of Ahmad Shah and his brothers, along with professors at Dar Uru Hun School.
In recognition of the Hedayat family’s cultural initiative, she said that the two historical documents have been donated to the Historical Documents Centre at the Golestan Palace World Heritage Site, daughter of Alamtaj Hedayat (grandson of Ol Malt of Molk), daughter of Golestan Ali Khan, and are currently on display to visitors to Amir Kabir Hall.
Emami emphasized that the reopening of the Amir Kabir Memorial Museum, completed after a period of recovery and preparation, provided people interested in Iran’s educational and cultural history with new opportunities to closely observe lesser known parts of the scientific heritage of the Kajar era.
At the same time, the opening of the Amir Kabir Hall at the Armas House was also reopened at the Anthropological Museum at Abyaz Palace, a World Heritage Site at Golestan Palace.
