Tehran – The Ashura-themed art exhibition entitled “Tall Heights of Historys,” featuring 10 short stories in painting and miniature form, was launched on Tuesday at the Art Bureau, Tehran’s Islamic Ideology Promotion Organization.
The collection was selected from the archives of the station’s Visual Arts Centre, Mehr reported.
Many cultural officials, artists, painters and illustrators were present at the opening ceremony, the report added.
Speaking at the event, Mohammad Zarui Nasrabad, director of the Visual Arts Centre of the Arts Bureau, explained in detail.
“This exhibition is essentially a reinterpretation and representation of these precious artwork. What sets it apart from others is its connections with theatres, films and television artists, with stories written over different periods of these works being exhibited.”
The exhibition presents ten stories: “The Beginning of the Epic,” “The Desert of Freedom,” “The Blood Conquest,” “The Mirror of the Prophet,” “The King of Kings,” “The Angel’s Babysitter,” “The Throne on Earth,” “Rider Without Rider,” “The Story of the Head,” and “Karbara Still.” Each story encompasses thematic works written by film, theatre, television and radio personalities who previously participated in Ashura-related projects. Notable authors include Daryoush Arjmand, Seyyed Mahmoud Razavi, Bahador Zamani, Alireza Shoja Nouri, Farhad Qaemian, Fariba Kosari and Daryoush Yari.
100 works include Morteza Asadi, Parviz Eskandarpour Khormi, Iraj Eskandari, Sara Aqamiri, Alireza Purghadiri, Fatemeh Chavoshi-Nasab, Kazem Chalipa, Seyed Morteza Hasseini, Javad Hamidi, Ahamad rezani, havad hamidi, havad hamidi, Razmkhah, Jamsheed Sarhadi, Sediqeh Salman, Nasser Seifi, and Fatemeh Azizmohammadi.
The exhibition will be open until August 24th.
