TEHRAN – A commemorative event to celebrate the first anniversary of the worship service of former President Ebrahim Raisi and his fellow members was held on Sunday night at Sole University in Tehran, bringing together respected figures from academic, cultural and government circles.
The event was attended by cultural officials and academic personalities, including MARTYR RAISI, MOHAMMAD-MEHDI ESMAEILI, and Ali Bahadri Jafro, government spokesman for the Minister of Islamic Guidance under the same government. Mohammad Hossain Say, dean of the university, reported.
Speaking at the ceremony, Esmaeli highlighted the cultural and artistic achievements of the Government of Raisi. He said, “The record of the Laisi administration in the field of culture and art is worthy of praise in both qualitative terms and in comparative terms.”
“As a long-standing student of Martian Reishi, we shared a common understanding and vision in the cultural realm,” he added.
“President Raisi was deeply concerned about cultural issues. The most important fundamental documents relating to culture and the arts were published during his tenure,” he continued.
Esmaeili further elaborated on Raisi’s approach to culture.
The event concluded with the opening of the “Iranian Servant Line” photo exhibition, featuring photographs by Kamran Sharifi, Mohamadreza Mojahed, Mohamadreza Taheli Manesh and Negin Hematsade.
In the tragic helicopter crash last year, President Raisi lost his life while moving to the capital of Tablis, along with former governor General Hossain Amir Abdullahian, East Azarbaijan, and prominent officials, including former Friday prayer leader of Tabliz Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Yer Hashem.
The accident was caused by a dense fog that significantly limited visibility in the area, leading to a fatal collision. The incident shocked the state and led to the loss of several important figures who played a key role in Iran’s political and religious fields.
