Tehran – After debuting at the Sichuan University Museum in Chengdu earlier this year, the Iranian loan exhibition “Land of Quianness” is set to continue his journey in China.
According to Iran’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, the exhibition is held in strict compliance with legal and professional regulations. The initiative is led by the province’s Deputy Bureau of Cultural Heritage and Museum Directorate, with support from the Tehran State Office and the University of Tehran.
Originally launched in January at Sichuan University Museum, the exhibition is hosted by Guangzhou Museum in Guangzhou. The opening ceremony is scheduled for mid-April 2025. The exhibition presents a hand-picked selection of 151 cultural and historical artifacts from prominent museums in Tehran, including the Mogadam Museum of Tehran University.
Featuring 5,000 years of Persian cultural and artistic heritage, the exhibition has been widely covered in Chinese media and has attracted great public interest. The diversity and richness of the items exhibited have played an important role in fostering cultural assessment and understanding between Iran and China.
The Land of Kindness celebrates the rich heritage of both countries and represents a step forward in strengthening bilateral cultural relations through artistic and historical exchanges.
The selected items range from the 3rd millennium BC to the later Islamic period. They include metal, ceramic and glass objects, textiles and carpets, reflecting Iran’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.
