In his X account post on Thursday, Mikhail Ulyanov wrote:
Three countries (Burkina Faso, China and Russia) voted against it. The 11 governors abstained, adding, “So the resolution did not enjoy widespread and compelling support.”
Previously, Ulyanov warned the US and European troika (France, Germany and the UK) that the resolution against Iran would not have positive results.
The 35th Governor General’s Committee of the United Nations Nuclear Observatory passed a resolution on Thursday declaring Iran for the first time in nearly 20 years on breach of its non-proliferation obligation, a diplomat at the closed door council meeting said.
The political resolution was proposed by the US and European troika.
