According to the Associated Press, of the 35 council members, Russia, China and Niger opposed it, 12 abstained and one did not vote.
The resolution called on Iran to “extend full and prompt cooperation,” provide IAEA inspectors with “accurate information” about its stockpile of highly enriched uranium, and allow access to its nuclear facilities.
According to Apu, 19 of the 35 members of the council voted in favor of the resolution.
Iran has warned Western countries against continuing illegal activities at the IAEA. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday that the country would not engage with the IAEA over the bombed nuclear facilities.
Also Wednesday, IAEA Director-General Rafael Mariano Grossi said IAEA inspectors had returned to Iran and conducted inspections at facilities not affected by the June attack.
