BEIRUT – A recent Arab League conference in Cairo reveals that the Arab regime did not repel any conspiracy to drive the residents of Gaza and the West Bank to Egypt and Jordan.
They also failed to abort the Israeli expansionist threat they face.
This is nothing new! For decades, Arab blocs have failed to agree to a unified vision of defense, abandoning frameworks aimed at unifying them. They have focused on preserving the interests of one country at the expense of another country.
The recent Arab League Conference has once again announced its compliance with the “Beirut Initiative of 2002,” which was repeatedly rejected by temporary entities to achieve the naughty project of fragmenting and annexing most of its West Asia.
In his book entitled “People, States, and Fear: The National Security Problem,” Barry Buzan defines the concept of regional safety as the interdependence of several states within a particular geographical area, in the form of actions and responses that ultimately create a set of security dynamics.
Therefore, wisdom assumes that all shared interest is guaranteed. The Almighty God says: {and therefore we have made you a fair community where you become a witness to the people…} (al-baqarah: 143) and {you are the highest country produced for humanity…} (al-imran: 110).
Milestones of the Arab world are foundations linked by language, civilization, religion, history and common enemy factors.
These are solid foundations that far surpass the foundations of other regional blocs, such as the European Union.
When the Arab League’s ideas first crystallized, the principles centered around general issues such as the Palestinian cause. However, the power of imperialism succeeded in directing individual regimes to focus on their own narrow interests, in addition to producing an imaginary enemy, namely Iran.
This, in addition to differences between Arabs along denominational, regional and ethnic boundaries, has also abandoned their common causes, and in many cases even internal conflicts are fueled.
The power of imperialism has managed to convince the naive people of the feasibility of “peace” with Israel’s enemy.
The experience of international trade unions adheres to the principles of integration and solidarity as a means of maintaining a common interest, but Arab countries have managed to isolate themselves and build shameful alliances that have primarily hurt national security.
These alliances, as in Lebanon, are only contributing to undermine Arab states by relying on the US hegemony set by colonial forces and the red line set by colonial forces, preventing them from exploiting the combined strength of the resistance movement.
This led the Lebanese President during a recent summit: But that learned from the pain. I learned that I am not a target for other people’s war. ”
Incidentally, Aoun’s words require a long but meaningless explanation of who the others are!
Since the heroic Al-Aqsa flood project, most Arab countries are pleased to observe and play the role of passive mediators. Some are conspiring against resistance to withstand Israeli projects.
They have gone to ignore the tragedy of the Palestinian people and to retain the resistance that caused wild, US-led attacks.
Therefore, the abandonment of the foundation upon which the Arab League was established had a negative impact on Arab regional security, turning Arabs from regional actors into mere territory for power sharing.
The Arab failure led Israeli enemies to openly declare their intention to redraw maps of the region.
