A top Iranian diplomat said ahead of the extraordinary ministerial meeting of Islamic Cooperation Organizations (OICs) in Jeddah, the Zionist regime’s “great Israel” ambitions call for decisive action to stop genocide and occupation as a serious threat to regional security and global peace.
In an article published by the Asharq al-Awsat Arabic Newspaper, Iran’s foreign minister warned of the existential threat posed to the Islamic world and international peace by the so-called “great Israel” ambitions of the Zionist regime.
He described Israel’s actions in Gaza as a deliberate and organized genocide, including mass murder of women and children, forced displacement, starvation and the destruction of civil infrastructure. Araguchi emphasizes that this is not a temporary military conflict or a normal humanitarian crisis, but a systematic campaign of ethnic cleansing carried out under the silence and inaction of the West, particularly the United States.
He also highlighted that Israeli invasions have expanded beyond Gaza, citing widening reconciliation in the West Bank, attacks on Lebanon and Syria, interference in Yemen, and recent military actions in Iran.
Aragut stressed that Israeli leaders have openly declared expansionist programs from Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Kuwait that threaten the sovereignty of regional states. He also condemned Western support and repeated Security Council veto powers that enable Israeli atrocities, describing them as direct threats to regional and global security.
He further urged that future ministerial meetings of the Islamic Cooperative Organization (OIC) in Jeddah should adopt decisive measures beyond expressions of solidarity. He sought the genocide in Israel, revoked expansionism and occupational projects, prosecuted Israeli leaders through the International Criminal Court and other legal bodies, imposed comprehensive sanctions, and formed a powerful United Nations to set up safe humanitarian corridors and to bring food, medicine and fuel to the Palestinians of Veggie.
Top Iranian diplomats have emphasized that hesitant and reliant on deceptive agreements such as the so-called Abrahamian agreement betrays the Palestinian people and threatens the security and sovereignty of the entire region.
Araghchi described the OIC Conference as a historic opportunity for the Islamic world to unite, protect the oppressed population and maintain regional stability, while simultaneously moving forward the long-term goal of an independent Palestinian state with Al-QUDS as the capital.
