“These statements are far from completely the reality of negotiations,” Iran’s top foreign minister Abbas Aragchi said in an interview with American media today that “even 1% of its enrichment capacity can’t be allowed.”
“Iran’s enrichment continues,” he emphasized.
“If the other side’s demands are unrealistic, it’s only natural that they will not be accepted,” the minister emphasized.
Araguchi further said Iran is ready to provide assurances that it will never develop nuclear weapons.
Iran and the US delegations held four rounds of indirect talks on Tehran’s nuclear program and lifting US sanctions in Oman’s capital Muscat and Rome, Italy.
Meanwhile, Iran and three European countries – France, Germany and the UK, collectively referred to as E3, held a high-level meeting in Istanbul in Türkiye on Friday on the latest development of indirect talks between Iran and the US.
